LAKELAND, Tenn. — An indoor golf simulator business is planned for Lakeland Town Square, adding another recreational option to the growing mixed-use development.

Back Nine Golf, a national indoor golf simulator franchise, is planned for a 2,161-square-foot space at Lakeland Town Square. A commercial alteration permit lists approximately $190,000 in planned improvements for the location.

Back Nine Golf welcomes golfers of all skill levels, while memberships offer additional benefits for players looking to spend more time practicing and playing indoors. The concept provides an alternative to traditional outdoor golf and allows players to enjoy golf in a climate-controlled environment.

The company already operates a location in nearby Collierville. It has not yet been announced whether the same ownership group will operate the planned Lakeland location.

Back Nine Golf is also a sponsor of YGT, a YouTube golf tour associated with golf creators Grant Horvat and George and Wesley Bryan.

The planned Back Nine location represents another step in the continued development of Lakeland Town Square, which has steadily added restaurants, retail businesses and service providers. Several additional tenants are also in various stages of development, including a nutrition-focused business, with other food, beverage and service concepts expected to join the development.

If completed as planned, Back Nine Golf would bring a recreational component to the tenant mix at Lakeland Town Square as the development continues filling its commercial spaces.
