Arianne Ferrer Guimaraes, a sophomore at Lakeland Preparatory School, has been named the Lakeland Prep Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance on the volleyball court. Guimaraes plays libero for the Lakeland Lions and delivered a strong performance last week against Bartlett High School, recording 15 digs and five service aces. Her defensive play and consistency have made her an important part of the Lions’ lineup. “Ari stepped up this season as a young player having to fill the important role of libero,” said Lakeland Prep volleyball coach Olivia O’Keefe. “She does an amazing job for us and is a critical part of the team.”
How Is The Athlete Of The Week Chosen?
